Purpose
1. To assess whether the combination of aspirin and anticoagulant (AC) therapy is superior to either agent alone in reducing the
frequency of recurrent myocardial ischaemia and the need for coronary angioplasty or coronary artery bypass surgery 2. To
assess whether the combination of aspirin plus anticoagulation vs aspirin alone, when added to conventional anti-anginal
therapy, reduces cardiac morbidity and mortality in non-prior aspirin users.
